NLC Atlanta Class of 2018 Informational Session

Please join us on September 20th to hear from Progressive leaders why the Time is Now to get involved in your community! You will also learn about New Leaders Council, the application process, and network with fellow Atlanta Progressives!

 Panelists include:

Adam C. Johnson - Moderator (Class of 2016)

Adam C. Johnson is a management consultant for Cognizant Technology Solutions, where his work focuses on strategy development and technology integration for corporate clients. He is a 2016 NLC Atlanta Alumnus who deeply cares about working across party and ideological lines to impact the Atlanta community.

 Katerina Taylor - Alumni Panelist (Class of 2014)

Katerina Taylor is the President and CEO of the Dekalb Chamber. Her unique experiences in banking and entrepreneurship positions her well to lead in the Chamber’s 4 core focused areas: Education and workforce, Economic development, Public advocacy, and Business engagement and growth. Katerina is proud to serve the Atlanta region and believes we create an opportunity to lead not just wait for one.

 Katie Delp - Alumni Panelist (Class of 2015)

Katie Delp is the Executive Director of Focused Community Strategies (FCS Ministries) where she leads holistic community re-development. She has invested over a decade of her life as an engaged neighbor, community developer and passionate activator in her under-resourced South Atlanta neighborhood. In addition to her organizational leadership, she has established a number of successful urban initiatives including youth development programs, community-building events, awareness campaigns and a local food co-operative. 

Tiwa Works - Community Leader

Tiwa Aganga-Williams, also popularly known as Tiwa Works, is the founder and president of Tiwaworks, an International Events and Marketing company. Since 2004, Tiwa’s company has been the host of the largest annual summer event for Black Fraternities and sororities in Atlanta known as the  “Atlanta Greek Picnic Weekend” which draws over 25,000+ to the city of Atlanta with an estimated $2.5 Million impact during the weekend. Tiwa is a regular speaker on the entrepreneurial and motivational speaking circuit encouraging his peers and the youth to purse their entrepreneurial aspirations as well as how to get to the next level in life and business.
